Yellowknife MLA candidates to speak to indigenous issues at Dene Nahjo’s election forum November 4-5th
November 2, 2015, Yellowknife, NWT: Dene Nahjo is hosting a forum for Yellowknife candidates in the upcoming territorial election focused on issues important to Indigenous people across the territory.
The forum will take place November 4 and 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre in Yellowknife, 5011 – 51 Street. All 22 candidates have agreed to participate.
Due to the volume of candidates running for seats in Yellowknife, the forum will be split up over two evenings and candidates have been asked to participate at only one event. The evenings will be divided based on districts so that candidates running in the same district will be featured on the same night.
